BIA Grant Proposal to Assess, Evaluation, and Promote Development of Tribal Energy and Mineral Resources for the Northwest Alaska Intertie and Wind Resource Assessment. (August 2014)
Assisting the Borough in creating an action plan based on community needs. An outside evaluation of the interests and needs of each village will provide a roadmap which could guide and inform decisions and prioritize funding pursuits. This effort will be action driven with concrete and real tasks identified to bring in funding, create operational efficiencies, and improving long term village sustainability.
In order to do so, Remote Solutions facilitates meetings in each Borough community and is consulting with both the city and tribal entities, where possible, to document local priorities. Improvements and needs will be identified in all areas including infrastructure, management and administration, solid and hazardous waste, water and sewer system, and capital needs. www.dreamthefutureak.com
